Well, you can buy cell phone in the shop, you can buy cell phone on the streets (not so legal, I think) and of course, you can buy cell phone online. It’s quite simple and there are many of online shops where you can do it. You can even buy mobile phone sitting home! You should only to have a credit card or Internet-money (such as WebMoney, for example). Online shops in US have a delivery or shipping, and most of them are completely free!

Also I must say that you can get cell phone for free! You should just pay for contract with company providing cell connection (such as Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile etc.). It’s simple, and it makes your money safe!

And, of course, you can buy unlocked cell phone, but I think it can be done only at Internet-marketplace, such as eBay and others. And you don’t must go far - look here, there must be links to different I-shops.

You know, it’s not easy to choose from cell phone plans. If you want to check how works one or another, how it costs etc, you should spend many time. It’s all because different companies uses different cell technologies - for example, Verizon is using CDMA and T-Mobile using GSM. It’s different technologies so different cell phones won’t be working in one and another at the same time.

Because of that, most effective way to choose cell phone service is using massive owner surveys - massive enough that you would still have hundrends of respondents in the same areas - enough so that you’d be able to collect a middle of opinions to decide which wireless cellulars have the best network coverage, the less number of dropped calls and the most likely to you customer service.

Maybe it can be usefull to have a friends in these companies - Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint, but real results you can see only by your eyes. Well, good luck in this really difficult doing

If you want use separate cell plans or services (in other words, if you want use different SIM-cards), you should find unlocked cell phone. It’s all because many companies are locking cell phones so you can’t use it with another company - quietly smart, isn’t it? That’s why unlocked cellular phones is so popular for now. Especially it’s about unlocked iPhone and unlocked iPhone 3G - Apple is locking their phones so you can’t use another SIM-card and even can’t use it in different country. So the best way to be “free” from companies providing cellular connection is to find and buy unlocked cell phone.

And, some companies have their’s own models of cell phones and locking they - just because of popularity. So, and if I want any model made for one company and I’m using another and like it - I have to find unlocked phone (this model I want).
